  • Tendonitis

I have tendonitis in my forearms. And i was wondering if anybody knew about anything about what i could do so that i do not have to stop working out.

I remember seeing a post about a supstance that started with a D (it had four letters like a abbreviation) but i cannot find that post. It was used for pain and sounded like it worked good but it gave you garlic breath.

never heard of it myself. i have tendonitis real bad in my elbow, and i was always told that if you can't rest it you just gotta suck it up. other than that aspirin and ice may help.

I went and got some of those ICY HOT patches, and a forearm wrap to put pressure on it when i am working out. it has been helping but after the gym it is a killer. did not even think about the ice, Crankin' will try it. Thanks.

Like Jipped said, Celebrex, it works wonders...I had it big time in my left arm and it stopped the pain

Man, I have been living with this sh*t for 3-4 mos now. Its a B*tch.

Best advise? Rest it! I toughed it out for 2 mos and really screwed myself.

Look in the training forum for "nagging injury" posted by me. A lot of good bro's gave some good advise.

I was sittin' here at the `puter stretching my tendons when I saw this.

hey thanks Double J i read all those replies from your question. My arms fall asleep too at night. and the next day it is worse too. Damn, i really do not want to stop my arms workouts.

I guess i just want to know that this is not permanent.

Well? Its been getting better recently. First 3 mos was slow progress.
I could`nt lift a glass at first though. Thats why I caution about trying to tough it out.

I have been taking Glusosamine and Chondroitin(hade to get the bottle to spell it). Its triple strength together from Wal-mart. Price was`nt bad. Says it takes a month to really help. I`ve been on it about two weeks.
Also bought a tendonities forearm brace with a heating pad in it.
Wear that most of the day. Stretch it couple x's a day.

I've tried about everything, especially lately because I HATE not workin' out.

                          Be good to it!

I`m just starting back easy and I`m trying for full ON in about two wks. We`ll see.

                          Thanks for asking. DJ

well it is good to hear that you are getting better DJ. I guess i am going to Wal-mart after work to pick up that Glusosamine and Chondroitin. As much as i hate to, i guess i will baby it and not work out arms. and just hit up legs really good for the next month and see how it goes from there.

Yeah i know what you mean about the pain. It hurts pretty bad just twisting a doorknob and driving. Left hurts more than my right forearm.

Thanks for all the info everyone
