In the US there is confidentiality, sometimes it is broken, but it should not be in the majority of cases. You can say you want it checked because of sex drive (or lack of) or how you feel in general, or give no damn reason at all.

Make sure you take a look at your binding sex hormone levels too. It's not as simple as looking at testosterone alone, there are a combination of hormones at work and one can affect the other.

Ive had a 24-hour urine collection sample tested. Its kinda a pain to do, you have to pee in a jug your doc gives you and keep it on ice and all that stuff, but its dead-on accurate. Shouldnt be any big deal to get done, just ask him to do it.
