It's a drug and all drugs have POSSIBLE side effects. Diminished libido, erectile dysfunction, weight gain, etc are all possible sides. They affect the minority, but it sucks if you're in the minority. I've noticed a decrease in sex drive, which I'm hoping will eventually dissipate (fingers crossed). It's ironic because I actually feel the drug is beginning to take effect. It's been a little over three months of consistent usage and when I wash my hair I hardly see any hair on the palms of my hands anymore. My hair seems a lot thicker. I also use minoxidil, spiro, saw palmetto, MSM, and a zinc based shampoo.Originally posted by ZedsDead

I don't know how old you are, but you should have atleast some indication as to whether or not MPB is going to affect you. If you haven't yet noticed any signs of hairloss/thinning you're probably in the clear (unless you're young still). I wouldn't jump into finasteride usage unless you were certain of hairloss beginning. But, by the same token, at the first signs of hairloss, I'd get on some kind of treatment ASAP, as it's best to catch it in it's early stages.Comment

yeah bro, like josh stated, cut the proscar into quarters. There have been studies showing the percentage of dht suppression between administeration of 1mg and 5mg to be negligible.Originally posted by Josh
