I have to give a thumbs up to the QV gear. Whatever gear you take, just be mindful when injecting and massage the site a little bit. Exercising proper hygiene -- cleaning the site and keeping everything sterile is very important, no matter what gear you use. I imagine a lot of complaints are due to "pilot error" as opposed to problems with the gear itself.
