What i've been reading, they are similar to eachother. Can someone tell me what the differences are. Is it better to combine both for postworkout shakes? Any info appreciated! Thanx!

TASTE, maltodextrin has an extremely weak sweetness to it. Plus it doesn't mix as well as dextrose. Dextrose on the other hand is very sweet and DISAPPEARS in water when stirred with a spoon. Hence, it is very friendly to the user. Adding dextrose to creatine makes it taste good and mix easily. Both are derived from corn strach which gives them their high glycemic level rating. But maltodextrin is complex and dextrose is simple.Rizk

maltodextrin is a complex carb, but acts like a simple carb as it is used by your body rapidly like a simple sugar. Straight dextrose is too sweet alone, so what i do is, 35 grams of each with my protien post cycle. That gives me a very good taste. This is the same concoction i use post insulin inj also.
