  • insulin?

    opinion question....8grms or 10 grms carbs per 1 IU of insulin(humalog)? and do you use the same ratio for protein?

    If it's your first time, you definitely wanna go with the higher carbs. It's always better to error on the side of caution. You can always lower your ratio down the road. Protein intake around 40-50 grams is sufficient.

          keep some dextrose or sugar aroud at all times untill you get use to the slin

                No...you definately don't want to use sweet and low as your safety net..lol. Apple juice or a soda works every time....and you'll probably never need it...but they work quick.

                      sweet and low is sacaryn dont know if thats spelled right. i carry glucose tabs instead of a soda but its personal preference.
