  • Anyone get bad Acne from Fina?

    Ive had acne since I was 16. Im 25 now. Im also currently on my third (Yeah I said third) round of accutane. After my last cycle of Sust and Deca I broke out all over my back, shoulders and chest. (Always had some on my face) My doc finally put me back on Accutane after 4 years since my 2nd time. So now I'm doing the cracked lips and dry skin thing again. I was thinking about running a Fina only cycle for my next go around. So the questions I have is;
    Is fina worse than Test for acne? and
    Should I do my Fina cycle while on accutane or wait until I'm done with that? Thanx in advance bro's

            You're joking about the clomid, right?

              Umm no, ever since I started taking my clomid, I have been breaking out. Mostly on my back and shoulders only a few on my face. They are really deep and hurt like a mother. Why would you ask if I was joking? -crombie09

                I ask becuz I never hear or read clomid causing acne. Hmmm makes me wonder cuz my first cycle I dint get acne on my back until I started clomid. Each cycle seemed like the acne was worse after I was done with the gear.

                    Thanx, It could be as it seemed to get worse once I started the clomid. How can I get around using not using clomid tho? I'll search some more about clomid and acne. Probably wont stop me from juicing tho, I love the gains!

                          acne is essentially caused by two things 1. hormonal fluctuations, and 2. bacteria. When your hormones are fluctuating, the Sebaceous glands in the skin start to produce more oil and cause the follicles to shed more skin. The combination of dead skin cells and oil attract bacteria which thrive on the combination. The bacteria is what causes the red (and white) infection.

                          When you are on clomid you are dramatically affecting your hormone levels (just as you are on AS). The best way to combat acne (other than accutane - which doesn't work for everyone) is to combine an antibiotic like doxycyclin with something like clyndamiacin or Benzaclin to clean out the oil.

                            well said...

                            Personally, I experienced very little acne while on cycle and while on clomid. But those that do, it's definitely the rollercoaster fluctuations in hormone levels. I know when I started up finasteride (this time for life) a month and a half ago, I broke out badly. Theoretically, less DHT should equal less acne. Luckily my skin has since cleared up.
