  • Tamoxifen helps against hairloss!?

Heres and interesting article in Aug 03 MD magazine pg.60:

    Drug wakes Dormant hair follicles!

You're not bald, you just have a lot of dormant hair follicles that havent been awakened yet. Univ. of Michigan Medical Center researchers found that rubbing a cream containing the cancer fighting drug tamoxifen on rats just one time activated dormant hair follicles and increased hair growth. Applying the drug repeatedly caused the rats to produce to much hair. The treatment worked only in mice that were genetically altered to create baldness. Bald men have dormant follicles, healthy but not producing hair. This research is exciting because it shows we may be able to wake up these dormant hair follicles!

Just thought this would be interesting to us bros who have to worrry about hair lose...

Then there comes a time when it lies within his grasp to shape the clay of his life into the sort of thing he wishes to be. Only the weak blame parents, their race, their times, lack of good fortune, or the quirks of fate. Everyone has it within his power to say, 'This I am today; that I will be tomorrow.' The wish, however, must be implemented by deeds."

but can you place the liquid form on your head?? what about the substance it's mixed with? what did the researchers use to suspend the nolva in when applying?? I know of some companies using alcohol, which I'm not to sure is all that great for the hair....
