Hey guys I've been working out one muscle part a day for months but here is the issue. Should I work out Tri's on the same day I do chest? I seem to be tweaking out my Tri's as much as my chest on chest days!! Bench does it most. I hit the pec deck and it's not as bad but I don't want to over work my Tri's. What do you guys do?

In my opinion it is better to not work them together, and im not alone in my opinion. IM way too lazy to go find the studies, but it was found that working them on the same day as chest didn't provided as much growth as working them another day. I also speak from personal experience as I use to train tri's with chest. I now train them with bi's and have noticed a huge imporvement. I guess it would also depend on what kind of training schedule you have.

Some routines will have you go ahead and work tris after chest and then later in the week.
Some just have you hit them later in the week.
I really dont think it matters much either way b/c you will work them while doing chest.

I think working tris separate from chest works better. I like working them with bis, the whole opposing muscle group thing in the arms gives me incredible pumps. But I do switch my routine every now and then to do them with chest. I work triceps after chest and it works great for me. Everyone is different. My little brother for example does them on another day along with delts and biceps and it works good for him too. It all depends on the individual.
BTW - rootz, if you actually did see a study on that it's b.s. because their are too many variables to consider and too many people with different genetics to come up with a study that proves it's better or not.Being defeated is sometimes only a temporary condition. Giving up, makes it permanent......
