          re: thyroid

Just to clear a few things up here...

As per the study posted earlier...many subjects were tested who had been misdiagnosed with hypothyroid (low) and were precribed T3 ....some were on as long as 30 years(thats no misprint either) After cessation of T3 their thyroid levels returned to normal in 2-4 weeks....the majority less then 2 weeks. So it is correct to say that permanent shutdown is a myth..that is unless you are predisposed to a thyroid condition genetically. Also the body doesnt release much T3 it converts most from T4 by the liver and other muscles...the body senses high exo T3 as per previous post and reduces production of T4..in effect reducing T3 levels. Ask your Dr what he measyred T3 or T4...i will bet T4..because few ever measure T3..it is assumed that T3 is fine if T4 levels are good..this is not always the case however as seen in Wilson's Syndrome...Excessive RT3 can become a problem and compete with T3 resulting in a hypothyroid state. Do not take T4 and stop the T3...your system will normalize in a week or 2..possibly more but it is individualistic...to improve naturla thyroid some supplements that help are Iodine, selenium, EFA's, guggul, and higher carbs for a few days...avoid all adrenal affecting compounds..ie ephedra products, caffeine, AAS etc
Your thyroid is suppressed which is normal when using T3...but it will return after you stop within a few weeks....cardio and clean eating are crucial now!
          Peace,

Praetorian thank you very much that is what I am asking i stopped taking it figuring my thyroid was already suppresed and start using iodine to "feed" it I am expecting that in around two weeks everything shoud be fine but your right cardio and a clean diet are very important right now.
