  • high cholesterol......

Well I had to give blood for my sister a while back and my total cholesterol came back pretty high. I dont ahve the breakdowns because they dont give them to you when you give blood. It is not AS related. I havent done AAS yet, so the only thing it could be is genetics/food. Im only 18, and cholesterol of 197 is pretty shitty for an 18 year old. Any help would be appriciated.

I eat pretty much the same thing every day.....see if you cant notice what would make my cholesterol high...

meal one- Protein shake- 1.5 cups skim milk. 3 tablespoons pasturized eggwhites. Banana, 1/3 cup oatmeal. A few scoops of pure WPI. 60 grams of total protein. about 50 carbs.

meal two- 4 WHOLE jumbo eggs (this could be the problem). 1 chicken breast. 1 cup whole grain cereal with skim milk.

meal three- turkey sanwhich (two slices whole wheat bread, lots of mayo, quater pound of turkey) 1 can sardines. 1 plain yogurt

meal 4 (post-workout shake) 60 grams WPI. 40 grams simple carbs and a banana.

meal 5. Either 2 chicken breasts, a salad, cup of milk, or a big lean burger, some greanbeans and a cup of milk.

meal 6. can of tuna. fat free cottage cheese (equally 20 grams protein) 1.5 cups of soymilk with 3 tablesppons pastuized eggwhites.

the only thing i can see is the eggs and maybe the mayo. But can 4 whole eggs a day really do that much??? some help maybe?? and some critquing of my diet as long as its here would be nice...

You have to get the cholesterol broken down into LDL, VLDL, HDL before you can make any decisions. You may be completely OK and not need to do anything.

I just did one of those home cholesterol tests and it read 169. The guide that comes with it reads "less than 200 mg/ml is desirable."

By your post, I am assuming that one could still have a high LDL to HDL ratio and not know it. Shit, less than an hour ago I thought I was in the clear!

        BTW, how ya been darmadoc?

If your total cholesterol is 169 it seems very unlikely that you would have anything to worry about. In that situation I would not break down the numbers any further.
