i was reading over at steroidology and some other places that this is a good alternative to a po box becuase you can use a fake name and they cant track you down. i havent read much on it but can anyone give me some insights or anything into this type of box for recieving?
I hav eone, they ask for two picture id's. They will sign for packages though which is a plus. I believe they changed their name now, it's the UPS store. THe only bad thing is that if you get alot of packages the people there get to know you pretty well, so you have to be careful about that.

Do NOT mess with a suburbanite, cuz we're just not going to take it anymore.

I came across a thread that covered this very topic. The moral of the story was that you are opening yourself up to mail fraud if you fake a name and go this route. Mail fraud is a federal crime.
The guy also said that the people who work in those places have been known to play "football" with packages. If your shipper doesn't pack it nicely, the contents could be revealed. The people who work there are then required to contact the authorities about the matter.
He recommended only using the USPS for all deliveries. Keep a clean house if you are worried. If they're going to bust you, they probably will... hard to avoid.
The contract with MBE/UPS has you sign and take full responsibility for the orders/deliveries to your mailbox.
I know nothing about any of this insanity... it's just a fun game to me.
I've got a box at MBE, but I'm not sure that you can pick up packages at 2 am They usually just place a little slip in your box and you have to give it to someone. If you go there after hours for mail, you have to let yourself in via the key pad on the door.
Try being friends or even date the person that works there. I'm very close to the person who runs the mailbox store in my area. She will give me a warning if anything ever came up that is suspicious.
