Everyone says to draw with 18g but I'm only on my 4th shot and already have a small piece of rubber stopper floating in my beautiful fina-WTF! I'm goin to something smaller for drawing.
Any advice? I could probably get the piece out with a syringe. If I do, should I refilter or will it be ok? This sucks!!
And now, as you can see, my computer's goin nuts. This is turning out to be a great day! Good thing I haven't been on the fina longer or I might want to break something!
16 and 18 sucks they kill the rubber but also when you have an amp they suck as they left a tiny bit of oil in the amp I cant tolerate that, a 20g is perfect

I've drawn with 18's in many cases and never had a prob. However, if you have pieces of rubber floating around in your gear there is a high probablity that meaures need to be taken for sterility and cleanliness. Don't mess with your health. Abcesses and infections are a b!tch. If 18's are giving you problems definitely go with a smaller gauge. I only use 18's to draw quickly and then switch to a small guage for the injection to minimize scare tissue. Good luck.
I just but the combos with 21's attached. draw with this then spin on a new bd 25. good to go. btw, the larger the vial, the smaller pin you will have to use. An 18 is fine for a 10ml vial, but you get a 30 or 50 ml vial and you will have no stopper left after about 20 shots. which not only breaks off pieces of stopper off into your product but could lead to air infiltrating your vial with whatever contaminates it carries.
What we need is more people who specialize in the impossible
