  • Food/drug Administration Hold

Was tracking a pack that was sent international, in a bottle of supplements, and this was the message on the ups tracking
    FOOD/DRUG ADMINISTRATION HOLD

Now it's only been a day, but is this just because it's in a supplement bottle which possible crosses the fda track or would they have opened it and possibly seen the gear at the bottom of the bottle?

    OH man!!

You havn't researched your international shipping to Canada have you?

From what I understand, everything labled "Suppliments" gets checked. You'd have been better off shipping them loose..

    Good luck bro..

        Well.. you may be OK.

However, I beleive that if you identify it as a drug or tablet ment for ingestion without providing the exact drug name along with DIN..it'll get classified as a suppliment.

Anything that's ment for human consumption must be approved by the FDA... meaning it must have a DIN (Drug identification number). If it doesn't have a DIN, it's either classified as a suppliment or as a full out scheduled and controlled drug.

Shipping tabs in a tablet bottle usually isn't a good idea.
If it's only tabs, it should be sent in a flat envelope.. those almost never get checked...
