    i just did my first humalog injection 20mins ago. 6iu right after i was done liftin. after all the research i did, and all the debating i did, i am still scared to death of it. i drank 2 carbo forces, 110carbs each, 30 sugars in each. got a drink from my juice bar, 40grams of carbs from rasperry juice and blueberries. and i have my glucose tablets next to me. my dextrose just arrived 5 mins ago, so i have that if needed as well. i know i went overboard with the carbs, but better safe the sorry i guess. ill get down eventually to 15 grams of carb per iu of insulin. sorry for rambling, still nervous

    one more thing for you vets. i usually take a 30min nap at 4 before i go back to work. i know the humalog is active for under 5 hours. so if i eat a yam just before that, will i be fine to sleep?? im not really in the mood for never waking up. sorry, nervous bout this. have to fear and respect that which can kill you

      Humalog reaches its peak by the 2 hour mark and is all but out of one system by the 4 hour mark where as humalin R is active up to 6-8 hours after injection...

      I use slin, humalin R currently but wish to try humalog...I currently use slin 3 x a week at 10 IU 2 x a day...

        i just ate a yam now. never again am i touching slin when im tired befoe hand. it makez me paranoid

            10 grams of carbs per IU should be quite enough... if you take too much more than that you have to be careful about gaining excess fat.

              Yeah bro.... I got done with my first bout with slin and went way overboard the first two weeks with the carbs.... i got pretty.... then reajusted my carbs to around 8-10 per i.u. for the next two weeks and never felt or looked better in my life!

                  I'd like to know some of your opinions should I take steroids I'm 16 and want to go to college for football and I don't have enough money to go unless I get a scholarship right now I'm 6' and 275 and bench about 450lbs I have also had double knee surgery but they're fine and if you'd like to respond to my post please do so and if you could tell me some good places to get some steroids please tell me preferably I'd like to buy them with a money order or a check I'd don't want to give an email address

                        I'm taking probably about 15 grams of carbs per IU. And i'm doin fine.
                        If you've researched enough you feel comfortable. If you don't feel confident doin it, then I would say you arnt' ready.
                        No flame intended. You don't sound like you trust yourself, which means lack of knowledge on slin.

                          LOL. I think we all went overboard on carbs at first with the slin.

                          Hell I have done about 5 carbs per iu doing 15 iu's post workout and I was fine. I am not recommending that but I was glad to know it was OK so I was not so paranoid after that.

                          Drinking two carbo forces with all that other stuff is definately overkill. One carbo force and some protein should be plenty up to 10 or 15 iu's.

                            ive done my research, and months of it. itz just knwoing one little fuck up, and you could be in some serious shit. i def went overboard yesterday with my carbs, so im dropping some today. im using 8iu. ill take in 80grams of carbs with it. then eat 20 mins later. im sure ill be fine. ill let you all know how it goes
