Lifting Straps

I need a new pair. Years ago a buddy had some real cool straps that were padded and I think Neopreme (Wet suit material) with velcro around the wists. The padding was red and the starps were black. I liked them much better then the normal cheap white straps that are everywhere, Because the ones I am talkinf about the straps are a little bit shorter, and are actually perfect for heavy Lat Pulldowns, or Heavy Shrugs.

Anybody know which straps I am talking about and where to get them? Thanks

Does anyone know where to find the "hook" straps. They have a metal hook instead of a leather strap. I have seen them a few times at the gym but never online.

I only like them because the strap is shorter and fits better at least the one's my friend had years ago. They were the perfect length. Wrapped around the bar with no extra length.

Anyway do you play football for Oregon? I loved watching them late night when Joey Harrington was the comeback kid.

Those hook straps look even better and are cheap too. Anybody ever use HOOK STRAPS before. How wre they?

I use straps for deadlifts and shrugs only. I see too many guys working forearms 2x a week for 15 minutes, but wear straps when doing side laterals, chins, and curls. Well, no shit guys........

I dont like them because the velcro does not stay tight like the regular ones do

Oh I dont play for oregon I would like to but just too much money so I am going to a smaller school
