i have been preaching the same thing about UPS and fedex as well for a few years now....both companies are all about the "almighty dollar" and as long as it gets paid for they dont give a shit what is in it unless it is leaking...then they might think it is a hazardous material and then it is kind of a big deal...

I don't really understand how they determine whether or not to open a package? I mean how many packages do they open that contain chocolates, shampoo or even a bunch of Dildo's. If there is nothing illegal in it do they repackage it all together?
It just seems like if you got a package of anything you would be able to tell if it was opened prior?
I just wonder how they make the decision to open this package vs that package?

like i said at ups ....they only open it if its leaking or some how the package got broken open during shippment......most of the time i seen them just retape it and sent it on its wayStuck in the Desert.Comment

I've heard that ups and FedEx need a warrant to open a package, USPS does not. Now I don't know this for sure, but I feel safer using ups or FedEx. What ever you do to go down to the cop shop unless they come and arrest you.Comment
