  • i have an abcess...

i was going to do a shot in my left quad. when i aspirated, some blood went into the syringe - so i pulled out and moved over about half an inch and tried again, same thing. this got me curious. so i grabbed a fresh syringe and stuck it in - i drew out about 2cc's of what looked like blood. upon closer inspection i notice that the blood is tinted brown and is very cloudy, milky, and thick. so i get two more fresh syringes and extract a total of 6cc's of this puss/blood mixture from my leg before it finally stops. the strange thing is that it doesn't hurt at all - not even a tiny bit.

i used to really love qv gear, but i have had some major problems on this cycle (almost all qv). i had a major infection in my right tricept that required antibiotics to clear up, and now i discover this massive bubble of puss in my leg. oh well, i'll keep an eye on it over the next few days and see what happens.

The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they are suppose to like, what they're suppose to buy, and what they're suppose to laugh at. You have Beavis and Butthead telling you what music you're allowed to like and not like, and you've got sitcoms that have canned laughter that lets you know when to laugh if you're too stupid to know when the joke is. People are too lazy and too stupid to think for themselves because America has raised them that way.

ewww....have you rotated your sites? sounds like you need to...that can happen if you always inject in the same site, sorry to hear it was QV though....what length of pin did you use....sounds like that site is done for some time...

yeah - i can't get anything else out of it. if it comes back i'll go see my doc about it. i'm sure she's seen it before. she works with a lot of competing bb'ers - so i'm sure her first reaction won't be, "lance it!". i'll keep a close eye on it though.

Didn't you have any symptoms? It seems like you didn't notice anything until you were ready to inject into that spot. Sounds kinda strange.

Dude, thats sick! Abcesses are usually painful and warm to the touch. Did you feel anything like that?

Maybe you just sucked out a bunch of blood and fat...eek

                    Hopefully your leg heals...

There are no symptoms to what you've described..........until you become septic.

I have 3 friends the same thing happened to .......two ended up in the hospital with drains in each leg.

We came to the assumption they where using to much oil.......the body couldn't absorb it......after it sits there awhile, an infection sets up and the body will not absorb it. Only way to get it out, is to pull it out.

My ex boyfriend had places on his thighs and hips from where he had injected.......the places felt like maybe a golf ball had been inserted under the skin........but didn't hurt.
He told me it was scare tissue , but after I saw what happened to my 3 close friends......I now think the hard lump under his skin was calcified oil.

Get some injectable oxytetracycline (as long as you are not allergic to tetracycline) and inject 200mg EOD for 4 to 6 total injections and that should help immensely.

                              A few things:

                              1. Do not inject sub-q – it will burn like a mother.
                              2. Go IM and go big and deep (preferably 1.5” 22g). The deeper you go the less it hurts/burns.
                              3. Use at least a 23g needle. I tried to push that sludge through a 25g and actually had the plunger collapse and buckle the syringe. I have also seen someone else blow the needle right off the syringe while trying to use a 25g. Warming it up will not help and will likely make the injection even more uncomfortable.
                              4. Do not inject directly into the abscess.
                              5. Don’t be surprised if the oxytetracycline injection leaves behind a hard lump at the injection site for a couple of days.
                              6. Dilute the injection with bacteriostatic water. It will greatly reduce the burning.
                              7. Make sure that you draw with one needle and shoot with a clean DRY needle. You don’t want it to be on the outside of the needle as you inject. I don’t know if I mentioned it but oxytetracycline burns.
