  • Test and Bodyweight

Everytime I read a suggested dose of test (usually at least 500) I never see anyone taking into account the users body weight. Why is this?

What got me wondering was an article I read about Deca which cited a study that found the optimum dosage to be 2mgs/lb of bodyweight. I found this really interesting since the normal dose of Deca recommended on this forum is 400mgs/wk and that (unfortunately) is WAY more than 2mgs/lb for me.

    Anybody know?

Well some vets will be able to clear this, but it has to do with test levels and fresh receptors. On ur first cycle, you will get great gains from 400-500mg's of test/week, whether u are 170 or 230. After that, typically you will need to up ur dose, because ur receptors have been accustomed to the drug and ur natural test levels could be lower, so you have to compensate by upping ur dose or taking a fair amount of time off. I know this is a basic answer, but someone like Prolangtum will come along and clarify it for you

      Thanks.

That makes sense, but I guess I was wondering where the 400-500 magic number came from. It just strikes me as odd that someone at 150lbs and someone at 210 would need the same amount.

I've been thinking about this alot. I was thinking maybe it has nothing to do with weight but levels of test (makes sense logically). But that blows out the Deca article. Not that the article was the final word on dosing Deca by any means, just that the idea of tying it to body weight made sense on one level.

Some guys will do 200mg's of test for thier first cycle.

Really, if you get a bottle of test or an amp, 1 cc = 200mg or 250mg of test. So that would be one or two shots a week. Ur natural test levels at 200mg's u might not see the results you would like, however at 400 you probably will.

In no way was it a clinically study that recomended that dose, it was a guideline by asteroid publication, Bill W. i believe.

As far as test goes, the general recomendation is 400-500mg as a study which i read quantifies tghis. They had 100mg, 300mg and 600mg of Test E. and the 600mg gave more than double the results of 300mg of Test E. as far as LBM.

            Thanks guys.

I went back and read that Deca article again and Prolangtum is right. It actually says "Scientific research has shown that best results can be obtained by the intake of 2-mg/pound body weight." But it does not actually cite the study that shows that. That certainly calls in to question how "scientific" the research was.
