Just to remind ya I'm Diabetic.... Everyone is different... But your pancreas just releases insulin until your blood level return to a normal range ie 85-100mg/dL. For us Type 1 diabetics our pancreas does not work anymore so we take enough insulin to cover any glucose we ingest. Lots of calculating to do every meal... My magic numbers are 25 and 4.... For every 25grams of carbs I eat I have to give myself 4 iu. So if I eat for example 1 cup of oatmeal which has 50 carbohydrates I would give myself 8 iu. NOW if I was not diabetic I would assume that my body would release around the same amount.... but I dont know if this is a apples to apples thing. WE are dealing with something synthetic verses natural and its power maybe different. Hope this helps.

did you know that a powerbar raises your insulin more than 10ius of humalog? Only difference is taht humalog is more sustained, a powerbar raises them quickly and drops them just as quickly.

hey pro....do you ever use a glucose monitor and do you think there would be any advantage to using it?
