  • VERY CONCERNED...give this a look

My older brother is 24 years old..he's 6'0, 225lbs and probably sitting @ about 15% bf (an educated guess)....genetically he has the ability to be something special having pound for pound one of the biggest pair of arms in my gym (we got some big boys too)..he is consistant w/ his workout routine but lacks dedication w/ his diet (he tries)..he is currently cycling winstrol and prop...HIS PROBLEM IS...the kid drinks all the time while on...granted he's a successful business man living the single life in New York City but I personally believe he's a boarderline alcoholic (on the grounds that he has at least 1 alcoholic beverage daily and it runs in my family)->on nights when he goes out he drinks to the extreme, I mean he gets shit faced and it takes the big boy a lot to get drunk...
MY REQUEST: i keep on telling him how much alcohol will hinder his gains and that he's wasting his money on juice since he continues to drink but I haven't even touched ground on the health risks he subjecting himself to....Im looking for any information (preferably actual press and articles) pertaining to the negative effects of drinking with AS- how it will prevent solid gains and how it can hurt him....I do his injections (*****)...im at the point where I want to tell him to do it himself cuz its a waste of his time and mine....I dont expect him to have my dedication (Im one of a kind!) but i dont want to see him get hurt neither....wow im sorry if i rambled, i wanted to give as much background and general info so you guys could help me out...SO GET ON IT!....thanks boys....Your Friend FLEMS

sorry to hear about that,, but i will tell you this...he wont stop drinking until it causes him enough discomfort,,, that he decides to change....i am a recovering addict... so trust me when i say this...NOTHING YOU CAN DO WILL MAKE HIM CHANGE.... it has to come from him...i suggest you be there for him when he hits bottom... also only he can decide if he is an alcoholic or not.

        Understood

I struggle with some of the same things. Better than college, but still not acceptable.....plus it costs a butload to go out in Dtown Chicago with friends to catch a buzz. I have been taking lots of ala, but I am a bit like your brother....not ED drinking but did at that age in college and a bit too much now. It takes something special to snap the cycle...I am still trying myself. It seems tougher even yet when your cpomrades do the same thing (they know not of my other juicing ). I wish him luck with these isssues.

Maybe have some family members confront him. Only he can change.

You want my opinion,I would instead get him into a detox program,he's now addicted to the booze and the only thing to do is get him off of that stuff via therapy.Plus like Game said also have a family member talk to him,the more that talks to him about this the better.

I've been down that path myself. I had to be sick and tired of being sick and tired before I sought help. I would'nt listen to anyone up to that point. Like Valhalla said "only he can decide if he is an alcoholic or not."

i realize this.....good to see you've made it through...theres is nothing wrong w/ alcohol within limits...but in my opinion because its so accessable and addictive it really is one of the worst drugs...not to mention a source of empty calories and estrogen increaser!!! ha
