is it enough to have an effect? I have never used ala and am thinking of throwing in 250mg with my carb meals.

Check out the AF store. They have a product called "glucorell" which is R ALA w/ Biotin. They have a whole page on this stuff and everything you need to know about it. Good luck!

glucerell is a ripoff (not saying it's a bad product). First of all, I have no respect for supplements companies that name their SUPPLEMENTS in an attempt to make them sound like prescription pharmaceutical compounds.
2) r-ALA can be found cheaper. My favorite is Syntrax's R. 90 caps, 100mg/cap, can be found for $13.50 I believe at http://www.muscleshoppe.com
3) I only use 100mg at every meal, 200mg after workouts. Taking 200mg might help, but I think 300mg or more per meal would just be overkill.
