Anyone using SLI that take ALA on the "off" days from Slin??? Any danger with this?
I do not use ALA on the slindays(workout days) but I thoiught pone maybe should use it while on the non workout days?? what doi you say, with carbs that is
I emailed the same question to my source of r-ala. He said that he is using it with humalog and it is working great. Read my thread on Insulin, let me know what you think. About workout days and non workout days.
What about glucophage/metaformin on days you dont take slin to remain insulin sensitive? Has anyone tried taking this while on slin at all? I think that it may be a good idea so your body doesnt become insulin resistant.
I dont think that r-ala would lower the effect of insulin, in fact I believe that it does the opposite by increasing insulin sensitivity. In short, this would make the insulin store more nutrients(glucose, amino acids) in your muscles and not as fat.
Ok, I'll try adding ALa then, but I do not want to take it together with the slin, so I will use it about 4 hours post the injection as I use humaR. ALA lowers my bloodsuger pretty fast, I get so freaking tired you see. Therefor It just makes me somewhat affraid when I think of using that with slin(at the same time).
