  • Can't download hushmail!

I have been trying to get a hushmail account but when I get to the account creation, it is not downloading the encryption engine. I'm wondering if it has to do with my AOL??? Has anyone else have (or had) this problem??? Any solutions?? I read this is the best secure site.

Try and clear your cookies and restart your PC. I had the same problem and this worked for me!

With windows XP you have to download a java scripting engine thingy. Also you have to enable java scripting and active x control in you internet options.

OK. I cleared my cookies and restarted my pc and still nothing. I have windows ME and I use AOL. I'm not a pc whiz but I stared for 10 min. waiting for this encrypt engine to download. Nothing.

I don't know anything about java script or even how to turn it on (or download). Any info would be helpful.

This is a browser problem, not an OS problem. If it says that you are getting an applet error, it is related to Java.

Go here --> http://java.sun.com/getjava/download1.html and download Java VM. If you don't have this or an outdated one, that may be the problem.

You didn't say what version of IE you were running, so if you don't have 6, go get it here --> http://download.microsoft.com/downl...US/ie6setup.exe

Let me know how it turns out..
