  • My blood pressure results

Ok I bought a blood pressure machine (a good one $$) so I know its accurate, here is my current reading:

    116/67

    pulse 53

If you missed the other threads, I had an anxiety attack on friday and my blood pressure shot up to 159/88.

I'm going to monitor it daily now, if any of you have any good input about this or experiences, I would be interested in hearing it, thanks.

I measure mine daily. Hospital-class one, my dad is a doc and he gave it to me to help "keep me safe" Mine is never over 140/80, usually it's 118-120/70, nice and low but stable. HR is almost always high around 90 bpm, but that's normal for me too. Today was the only abberation, HR was only 67, but I'm not complaining, that means I'll live long enough to kick ALL your asses

^ my heart rate seems low always at around 50, is it possible to be to low? What does this mean?

Low heart rate means you are "generally" in excellent condition.

Around 50 is in the class of marathon runners.

Anything below 70 is considered good, 60-very good, below 60 excelent.

Imagine if it is really low your are dead, lol.

actually it's in the 40's at a resting rate.....but having a 50-60 is good, very good...shows that your heart doesn't have to work as much to pump blood...unlike the one's who have a higher rate..the best time to take your resting heart rate is before you even put your feet down from your bed...good to hear that though LM

Yeah mine is dropping now, but i measure usually after I lie down after my post-workout shower. HR is still probably elevated from that. I'll start taking it first thing in the morning, just leave my monitor by the bedside, boy I hope I don't crush it when I wake up middle of the night to take a piss
