Shafiq Blake competed in his first ever amatuer power lifting tournament last weekend on the 22nd of April, 2017 at the University of California at Pennsylvania. He came in 1st place and also happened to break the RPS world record for dead lift at his weight (132 lb.) And age group (18 - 19). The previous record was 460 lbs. He shattered it by 40 lbs by deadlifting 500 lbs. They gave him a 4th try for 515 lbs but he was spent!
