Matt Sohmer won the first major powerlifting championship of 2013 which was held in Sandstrom, VA. on January 19th & 20th. The championship was sanctioned by the AAU.
Matt set six (6) United States and World Records (breaking his own records set in 2012) including a teen squat record of 766 lbs, a teen deadlift record of 738 lbs and a total of 1,774 lbs. All of Matt's lifts were done raw (no equipment).
