Shawn Frankl, 220, broke his own all-time total record of 2,535 pounds yesterday at the WPC World Championships in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Frankl totalled 2,539 pounds, squatting 1,008, benching 815, and deadlifting 716 pounds. The total also secured the WPO Middleweight belt for Frankl. Frankl also holds the all-time record at 198.
Scot Mendelson, shw, bench pressed 1,025 pounds at the WPC World Championships which concluded today in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Mendelson made his opener of 903 pounds, his second at 1,014 pounds, and then hit the 1,025 pounds on his third attempt. Mendelson went on to miss a fourth attempt at an all-time record of 1,080 pounds.
