Just blew my back out!!!
I can't believe this ****. I was just telling Jim yesterday that my squat feels stronger than it ever has and today it blows out on me during a warm up set with 635lbs on the bar!!
There were no warning signs and nothing happened on the rep that seemed to cause it. I had done my usual raw warm ups with:
145x6,255x5,345x3
and then I put my briefs on and was planning to hit three sets in my briefs with 635, 775 and 850.
I unracked 635 and started to descend and about 1/2 way down my spine just popped right below my beltline and I knew I was done. Fortunately I was able to get the bar back into the racks before my back completely spasmed up on me.
Right now I am hobbling around like a 90 year old man and just sitting here typing is killing me. I probably won't know how bad this is until a day or two from now. I am really good at healing up fast but the LA meet is only six weeks away and I won't go unless I feel I can be at 100%. No point in going out there and spending a couple grand to hit mediocre numbers. I guess the next few days will tell me a lot. If nothing else this just means that I will have to break the 220 total record at Louie's meet this summer.
I will keep everyone updated as this progresses.
