Shawn Frankl upped his own All-Time Record bench press in the 198 class with a 788 pound press at yesterday's UPA Bench Bash for Cash held in Dubuque, Iowa. Frankl had just set the record on August 19. The effort was also a quadruple bodyweight bench press. Frankl weighed in at 197 pounds. Marcus Schick is the only other powerlifter to accomplish this feat. Frankl went 744, 766, 788, and attempted an 804 pound bench.

Man that is unreal. I was suppose to go to the meet in Ohio, but could not get out of the airport, friends said he was unreal at Louie's meet. It would have been great to see. I heard that he goes to Texas and has John Inzer custom make his gear. I don't know if that's true, but I do know other lifter's who have done that. -

I know several folks who get custom gear from John, elitefts used to have that option on Metal gear but now you gotta go directly through Ano for it.
