In the latest in a string of meet directors and state chairs to bolt from the APF, Sandi and Zane McCaslin of Iron Asylum Gym have formed a new powerlifting federation, the Syndicated Strength Alliance (SSA). The SSA will offer both single ply and unlimited ply lifting. The SSA thus far is sanctioning the McCaslin's two remaining meets this year. Oh and by the way, for those of you who don't know Sandi and Zane, they are great people. Class acts all the way and very worthy of your support. Powerlifting has really taken a dive as of late. The APF is pretty much shot to shiot thanks to Kieran Kidder, the IPF although a good fed. kinda lacks credibility in many's eyes. Things are really coming together now for the sport though, with Billy Carpenter and Kenny Patterson starting up the UPA and the Mcaslins starting the SSA.
