I was watchin a show on prisons the other day and this one had a powerlifitng meet. What are you guy's thoughts on this, should it be allowed? I also recently read that the USAPL has sanctioned a prison meet and may do more in the future.

Re: Prison meets
Well I can see both sides of it. On one hand it teaches goal setting and a healthier lifestyle but it also creates bigger, stronger criminals and considering most of those cats aren't first timers they may end up committing even more violent crimes in the future. I really don't know what I think about it.

Re: Prison meets
I have mixed feeling on it. I think I may have watched the show before. If the guys get into any trouble they are banned from it while they are there. It seemed like it gave them goals and a meaning to stay out of trouble while they are serving but on the other hand its making them stronger criminals. I guess I would rather see prisons like the one in I think arizona where the guys are living in tents and working on chain gangs with only the basics.

Re: Prison meets
I have woked in a prison for 8 years. The state I work for removed the weights a few years back due to the weights being used to break through block walls during a disturbence. They also flattend out an officers head with a 25. Sooo **ckem the *****es can do pushups and dips all day.( Which they do)
