Nice and clean. Long pause at the top, long pause at the chest, long hold at lockout. Shirt was inspected immediately after. Done in meet rotation (not as a gust lifter). Super-legit.
you will rarely see anyone go for a record in the RAW catagory anymore as it is deemed to be to dangerous for injury by the top benchers. i dont even think mendelson does it anymore but i could be wrong.
many of these guys can do well over 700lbs raw in practise but dont enter raw meets unless that is the way they always lift.
once you start wearing a shirt it becomes much different to go for max weights without one.
just trying to relive my younger years in the gym all while being in my upper 50's
I wouldn't count him out. He claims to have hit 750 in the gym. Guys like Glen Chabot and Nick Winters have a serious shot at taking that unequipped record away from him. I think Mendy likes to be king of the hill and so he will definitely try to beat 1010 and he will definitely try to beat whoever tops his raw record.
Goals for December 2007:
Elite 1825 lb Total @220, trim down a bit in the mean time, too.
