Gary Frank benched 926 pounds Nov. 18th at the AAPF Southern States Powerlifting & Bench Press held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. At 42 years old, that bumps up his own all-time masters bench record from 849 pounds. It's also the fourth largest bench press in history, after only the efforts of Scot Mendelson, Gene Rychlak, and Tiny Meeker. Frank lifted bench only as a superheavyweight in the drug tested AAPF and made his first and second attempts at 832 and 903 pounds.
