    Powerlifting is a strength sport that focuses online Zumba classes on three main lifts: the squat, bench press, and deadlift. Unlike bodybuilding, where the primary goal is aesthetics and muscle definition, powerlifting emphasizes maximal strength and proper lifting technique. Competitors typically follow structured training programs that include progressive overload and planned recovery periods to optimize performance and increase their lifting capacity.

    Equipment also plays an important role in powerlifting. Weightlifting belts, knee sleeves, specialized lifting suits, and wrist wraps help provide stability and safety, especially when attempting maximal lifts. Competitions are scored based on the total weight lifted across all three lifts, which means athletes need to develop strength evenly in each discipline.

    Powerlifting also requires mental focus and discipline, as lifting near-maximal weights pushes both physical and psychological limits.
