Taco Soup

Its a favorite in my house!

1lb of ground turkey or beef
1 large onion chopped
3 cans of chili beans - undrained
1 can corn (or fresh or frozen - 15.5 oz)
1 can tomato sauce 15oz
1 can diced tomatoes undrained
1 can diced green chiles
1 package taco seasoning
1 package ranch style dressing mix
1.5 cups water

Brown meat with onions. Dump in everything else. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer for 15 or so minutes.

I serve with fritos, sour cream and cheese. My one son loves rice in his, so I steam up a batch and put it in the bowl then pour the soup over top. Reheats nicely!

That sounds killer Quirk ! a friend of mine gave me a recipe some time ago and Ive been meaning to make up a pot, but nothing as good as yours sounds. with it being all cold n' stuff that sounds like jus the thing right now.

can I put some cilantro leaves in mine? I am addicted to cilantro!...now around this part of the country they would throw in some chorizo with pork fat and some tongue...LOL...yes, go to a mexican restaraunt here and they have tongue burritos..gross!

Back in our clubbing days, we used to go for burritos at 3 or 4 in the morning, and our friend always ordered the tongue burrito. It was so gross, but he was Mexican and that is what he said he usually eats.

Oh ya. How I remember. Out all night. Drinkin dancing and chasin tail. Pigging out at 3am. Then goin and doing it again on saturday night.
