Well I just started a bulking diet today, I too am not real fond of plain oatmeal either, so here's what I did.
My plan is to get 50 g protein & 25 g carbs
8 egg whites - 24 g protein
1 scoop whey protein in water - 26 g protein
3/4 cup oatmeal - 25 g carbs
Made oatmeal as usual, then added 1/2 of my protein drink (vanilla) into the bowl of oatmeal and mixed 'er up. Now that was good and tasty, went down great. Give 'er a try bro, you won't be disappointed.SC..............................Never Too Old

HERE'S A LITTLE FREAKY IDEA I LIKE. I'LL SCRAMBLE 8-10 EGG WHITES AND RIGHT AT THE END ADD 1/2 CUP OF COOKED BEANS, EITHER KIDNEY BEANS OR BLACK BEANS. LITTLE SALT, PEPPER AND PARMESEAN CHEESE. BEANS HAVE A HIGHER FIBER,AND PROTEIN CONTENT THAN OATMEAL. GREAT SOURCE OF LOW GLYCEMIC CARBS. YOU CAN ALSO HAVE A LUNCH TYPE MEAL FOR BREAKFEAST, RICE AND CHICKEN ,OR RICE AND EGGS,POTATOE WHATEVER. HELPS TO KEEP THINGS DIFFERENT

Flextwist,
Most of the time I eat 1/3 to 1/2 a bag of frozen corn.
Pop it in a bowl with a little water in the micro, about six minutes, let it cool down...it is high glycemic, but I work out in AM, so it's the first meal after...anyways 1/2 bag has 200 cals, 0 fat g's, 10 protien g's, and 40 carb g's, and almost no sodium...hate the bloat
I do not like oatmeal.
Also, if I am in a rush, 2 slices Rye, bread...160 cals, 28 carbs, 4 prot. , 3.5 fat, 320 mg sodium
And on occasion a big old cucumber cause I'm too lazy to even toast the rye
Good Luck

Hey Bro don't know what you think of hominy, but it's a low GI, you can flavor them to your taste.
Half a cup has 1g of fat, 16g of carbs, no sugar, 5g of fiber and 3g of protien.

Thier's Multigrian Pancakes, they have 1g of fat, 27g of carbs, 3g of fiber, 2g of sugar and 5g of protien in a quarter cup. I add 2 egg whites, put some natural peanut butter or almond butter on them with a portien shake. Then go to the gym.

Corn tortillas is something else, that's not refined.
