  • CKD not working or somthing...

    What's up all... I've been on the CKD for four days (as of today) and am barely burning any ketones. I have the sticks and they're telling me that I'm burning trace amounts. Only once did I hit the moderate level (yesterday).

    Unless I'm missing something, my carbs are well below 20g's a day. Why am I not in ketosis yet? Even though I haven't been weight training, I should be in ketosis by now. I'll be going to the gym tonight but for cardio only. The weight training will start on Monday. I plan on doing cardio six days a week and with weight training on Mon-Wed & Fri.

    Any suggestions? Am I even doing this correctly?

    Well if you were moderate the day before and now all of a sudden you are slight..... it means you ingested to many Carbs or spiked your insulin. The cardio should help, I have only been able to get into ketosis after 3 days including lifting, chromium, and vanadyl. Usually the afternoon of that thrid day as well... Another thought is that you maybe ingesting to many proteins and not enough fat...... for your calorie mix.

      My fats are fine, I think. I really don't measure but I've been eating the following:

      sunflower seeds 5g Carb
      hamburger
      cheese <1g Carb
      eggs w/ yolks
      chicken
      salsa

      Ah.... You know, the chicken I had last night had a coating of bread crumbs. I didn't know what it was at that time, thought it was parmasien cheese because it was so light. I'll chill on the seeds and no more bread coating. I'll see how that affects ketosis.

        It was definately the bread coating bro.... Made that same mistake too.... If you really wanna make sure your in keto mode go get a glucose checker at the supermarket ... and make sure your sugars are under 50-60. This is more accurate sometimes b/c you may be in ketosis and simply burning the little buggers instead of pissing them out.... thus your Keto Sticks would show slight.... when you are in full blast ketosis.
