  • atkins, fat loss training, and suppliments

    Ok heres my deal.
I'm a 28m, trying to get back into shape and get some mild cuts.
Right now I'm at the poor shape of 198lbs at 5'9"(around 17% bf).
I'm on atkins and doing some intense training 6 days a week (odd days - upper/even lowers) with high rep sets typically sets of 15 to 20 at 70 to 80% max. Workout is one designed by my gym trainer. Stretching as normal each day. Hot sauna for 20 mins eahc day as well.
Diet is 3 EAS low-carb shakes for breakfest, snack and lunch (2 carbs, 4 unsat fat, 15 prot, 110 cals each) and one main low-carb moderate fat supper, usually pretty high in protein such as ground beef or chicken.
Suppliments are Apex mulitvit/mineral forumla (profile 3/4), 1g of L-glutimine, and 500 mg L-carnitine. Occasionally 200 mg of caffine
Drinking about 64 oz of water a day and getting plenty of rest. Keto test strips shows I'm doing good.

While my strength is increasing and my bodyweight is dropping slightly (about 2 pounds a week) I'm not seeing any change to mass, either smaller or larger. I don't seem to be tightening up or volumizing as expected. In fact I'm having my g/f take profile and frontal shots with a digital camera to see changes on a week to week basis. Yet I don't see anything happening.

    Any tips? I'm getting discouraged.

Try CKD. You go pretty much no carbs, but you carb up on the weekends. Do some searching into it, i thin the Atkins diet is nbto desgined for lean tissue gains, Its designed for weight loss, fat and otherwise.
