  • Alaska VS Canada Salmon

Did anyone watch this on 60 minutes? I would much rather get my salmon from alsaka than those gross canadian farms. Of course I dont know the full story about canadas fish industry, but those farms seem to be killing off the wild fish. The farm salmon are living in filth. Alaska doesnt allow salmon farming. Seems like Alaskan salmon is much preferred over canadian salmon. Of course, who knows what to believe any more.
Who eats salmon? Its good but will take trout over it hands down.

i eat salmon when i can afford it. usually i treat myself to wild salmon, and only occasionally buy farm raised salmon when the price is right. my favorite is sockeye salmon, when cooked fresh and paired with some nice garlic mashed potatoes the flavor profile is amazing. i literally take a forkful of sockeye, and dip it into the mashed potatoes eating them together. however, the only way to cook this fish to experience how truly amazing it is is by grilling it on a alder wood plank. man just typing this response up is making me crave this dish.

most people dont understand how good salmon is as a fish unless they have visited/lived in the west coast, typically northern west coast.

Ya Canadian salmon population is def suffering from the farms not to mention the farmed ones are high in omega 3, I don't disagree with farming them but they should do it on land where it won't affect the wild salmon and other life..
