why you saying ths? you could easily stay within a small budget and eat big. concentrate your meals around calorie dense source carbohydrates (ie oatmeal, brown rice, yams, sweet potatoes), fats (ie flax seed oil, peanut butter), and a good assortment of affordable protein from lean red meats, dairy, poultry, powders, fish, etc. I prefer (in any diet, whether a bulk or cut) to taper off my carb intake throughout the day and/or replacing complex carbs like oatmeal in the morning and brown rice during lunch, for fiber rich vegetables. Pretty simple i suppose. Sage

Kool-aid and 60 g/dextrose per drink does me good, i think i drink about three a day. I wish my mom put corn sugar in my kool-aid 25 years ago. It tastes better then table sugar as well.
nothing magical about dextrose. any simple sugar will replenish your glycogen post workout. fructose, sucrose, dextrose, glucose not that much difference.

I cant remeber why sucrose isnt too good, but fructose has a higher affinity to replace liver glyocgen than muscle glycogen. Of course it is better than nothing though
