Old Infection Spot

so i cut myself last year round this time, and it got infected real quick. doc put me on antibiotics and the infection went away, however there was some residual stuff hanging around the infection spot that i didnt bother with cuz i thought "well the infections gone so my bodys just gonna get rid of whats there." didnt happen.

i figured this was residual fluid/puss maybe thats hanging around (a year later) that my body couldnt get rid of. anywase have any of you delt with a similar situation? i am wondering if it is just residual/fluid puss and its something i can drain myself, however since its a year later i am also wondering if maybe its hardened during this time which ultimately would make it more difficult for me to drain myself.

Never seen anything stick around for a year with out changing. My son brought home MRSA for college that is the only white puss infection I have ever had. I know it takes a different type of antibiotic to get rid of it but it come back if you are not careful. If it is MRSA it needs to be lanced.

well guys, ironically enough the shit popped the same day i make a post about it. liquid and blood came out, i went ahead and squeezed it since it was open. most of it drained however there is some hard substance that was left behind. im getting it checked next week. thanks for the feedback!
