Unless inside 6 weeks, cheat days CAN BE HIGHLY BENEFICIAL.

But, everyone is different though.. so you may have a legit point!!!

I just got back from dinner, my cheat meal for the week. Been dieitng for 12 weeks and have 4 more to go. I'm 197lbs 7% BF, (5'7") as of this morning, trying to get down about 5%. My body is sucking everything up right now and I'm so full and vascular right now it's sickening. I'm so depleted threwout the week.....Cardio is at 11 hours a week right now (60 minutes every morning, 30 minutes PW 4 nights/week, and Wednesday/Saturday nights 60 minutes in the evening), and I'm training at night M,T,Th,F.

      What I just ate:
prior to the meal, 600mg r-ALA
Bout 10 pieces of bread with roasted peppers
      Bowl of snapper soup
Portabella mushrooms in a brown sauce with polenta
10oz Filet Mignon, Blackened and medium rare
      Twice baked stuffed potatoe
      Bannana's Foster
Also had a piece of double chocolate fudge cake (was so friggin good)

That was my cheat meal and I'm so full I feel like I'm pregnant. Thats normally a little more then i usualy eat, but it's my b-day so I figured what the hell...besides the next 4 weeks are gonna be hell with this amount of cardio.

First of all... Happy b day to you.. Happy b day to youuuu.... Happy b day dearrr JG1............ Haaaapppyyyy b. day to youuuuu!!

Damn.. man... That sure is a lot of cardio you're doing!!! I feel it's overkill.. I have learned my body over the past 15 years and realized that I don't need more than 40 min a day every morning on empty stomach... Alot of times, I would just do only 30 min. Anything beyond that, I tend to lose a lot of muscles with it...... 60 min??? I would lose all my muscles and part of my bones in the process.. Wow...!!!!

What type of body are you??? meaning .. Meso.. ecto... or endo?? If I have to guess according to your type of required workout, I would say.... endo?? just curious!!!

inside 6 weeks??? Did you mean 6 weeks out from competition??? If so, I would differ with you. cheat days are especially beneficial the further you are thru a diet as the body adapts far more intensly during those later times....

I'm an endo. Suprisingly I hold onto my size and strength extremely well despite the hardcore dieting and large amounts of cardio. I'm still getting stronger despite the cardio so all is good, infact my weight hasn't changed in a month, just my body composition.

Only thing I'm on right now is 200mg primo every 4 days, and 37.5mg/day winstrol.

Thanks for wishing me a happy b-day!

              bigak,

Forgot to ask, what do you think of drinking diet soda's daily while cutting? I'm drinking a decent amount of them daily, on top of my 8 liters/water a day. Not sure if I should ditch them or leave them in...it's really my only vice threwout the week.

The only thing that really sucks about a cheat day/meal is the damn bloat. My cheeks feel like a blow fish right now, and abs are smoothes over. DAMNIT..lol

Drink a lot of lemon water today.

                  You welcome...

Yup.. Normally Endo's tend to keep more strength and mass while dieting. Plus, the stack you're on will prevent any muscle catabolism anyway..

As far as the soda's, unless you're too close to your show and very concerned with sodium intake, I wouldn't worry much about it. That is of course given that you're keeping your water intake high like you're doing. I do drink soda's everyday just to cope with the low carbs.. You're fine.

Sounds like you're doing pretty well.. Keep up the good work big daowg!!!

Cheat meals/days, or refeeds on a ckd, help increase letpin, which is very important when dieting. Low leptin levels cause the body to want to hold onto that extra fat, as it signals to the brain "im starving"
I eat at least 6 times a day to build my body
I pray at least 6 times a day to build my soul

You said the truth brother...... Thank you..

I swear.. I lose more body fat now that I implement the cheat day.. It's hard to believe for some people but I do..

I absolutely love a primo/winstrol stack. I'm hard as a rock right now, and each day I look tighter and bigger. Vascularity is threw the roof, and I'm still gettin stronger depsite the diet and 11 hours of cardio a week.

In 4 weeks time I should look sick.

I'm not sure if I should keep doing the "fuck it" type of cheat meal once a week, or have a more strict type of "refeed" meal. What do you think? Stay with the one "eat everything in site" meal a week, and just take my 600mg r-ALA prior to the meal?

You would give your progress a major leap if you trick your body into thinking "Hey.... There's an abunance supply of food after all.. This aint no starvation period. Therefore no need to shut down the metabolism to insure survival."

My conclusion is for you to eat everything in site like I do. I also take ALA like it's going out of style on my cheat day.. If I have to guess, I may rack up to 3 grams on a cheat day!

Bro... If you're getting such great results only on the mild primo and winstrol, can you imagine what sort of results you would get if you throw in Fina into the mixture???

                              my diet is as follows:

On lifting days, I implement the famous Dan Duchaine's "ISO caloric diet" taking most of my carbs at the two meals after my workout.

Non lifting days. I keep my carbs so damn low that sometimes I may go totally keto style.

If you haven't bought Duchaine's book Body Opus, do so.. That's where I have learned all my tricks.. Click on my following thread to see a picture of the book.

I respond EXTREMELY well to gear, even low doses. I can make great progress being natural, so a small amount of gear is just icing on the cake. I belive if you can't make gains naturaly you have no business even looking at gear. People need to get there diet/training down first...so many people rely on gear and they look like shit.

I hear ya man on the cheat meal, I'll just keep doing as I've been. I only take in carbs for my two PW meals, all my other meals are P/F, so when Sunday comes around after the reduced carbs, training like a madman, and ton of cardio I'm so depleted my body sucks up all that food from the cheta meal, and I really do feel like a new man, like my battery is recharged for the week.
