I have seen it with a lot of bodybuilders and recently saw it in an article about the rock's bulking diet for hercules and he was eating 2 cups of white rice like two or three times per day....why are these guys eating this as opposed to brown rice? does it have anything to do with insulin regulators? because I always thought slow digesting carbs were favored.

Originally posted by F.I.S.T.There's nothing wrong with right rice in moderation IMO.Brown is of course a much healthier choice and much easier keeping your sugar level under control but that doesnt mean you have to eliminate it completely if that's your choice.I personally rarely eat white rice but that my choice. If you feel white is ok for you,go for it.
As for the taste,as with any food, the taste is all in how you prepare it and with what.To make brown rice "taste good", I recommend making it with chicken or beef bouillion cubes in the water (1 cube per cup up water). This will give it a richer flavor. It is to the point now where brown rice tastes substantial and white rice tastes like bland cardboard. Just one of the many alternative ways to make brown rice taste delicious.
