Fathers or a "dad" weather absent or non existent. How do you feel that affected decisions you made in your sexual encounters as you aged? Kind of an open question, not looking for anything specific.

Unaffected really...I was pretty normal in that department.

I dont know if that was ever affected or if it affected my relationships. Who knows. I was never totally without a dad, but he tended to be a workaholic so I rarely saw him. When I did, it usually turned into a fight LOL...I hardly knew him until we both got older.

...and I don't disagree that it does just asking about this area. Without fathers around to to teach their sons the value of a woman, how to treat the woman (usually by example to the mother), etc etc. I guarantee this has had affect on how we proceed in that area. If anything I think without the example of male role models it takes men, Most not all, a lot longer to find the right path.

The inportant this if you do not have your Dad around is how you and your mother were. Some people that had there Dad around saw their Dad's treat their Mom like shit hence that they either grew up the oppisite or do the same thing to women.

Yes, a lot has to do with how close a kid is with his mom, he will tend to respect women much more. Hopefully the men in her life arent jerks. Then kids in sports can get a lot of male role modeling if they dont have it at home
