50 yrs old, train like a beast, hour of cardio daily..yet still have a bloated stomach. Yup, wheat belly. For YEARS, I've started my day off with whole wheat toast, dry w/six egg whites. Later, steel cut oatmeal. other meals and 2-3x a week, a mound of whole wheat pasta. It seems like it's all I can eat to get full-satisfied. But after reading up on how wheat can work against you and looking at all my training time/cardio time and bloated stomach. It makes sense. I have a pretty stern discipline once I put my mind to what I need to do. However, I hate starving! One of my bros trains like I do, but drinks ensure and "some" protein drinks vs eating. I'm not down for that..love my real food. However, he has abs, i don't. We are all different, but I am a caged animal when not fed..grrrrr. Brothers and Sisters...advice?!

Sometimes all this ifo can make you crazy! I changed to Gluten free oats and still eat wheat. I swear by using Probiotics and digestives enzymes with your meals. Why don't you try that before you change up your diet completely. Do you tak any meds for anything.Veritas Vos Liberabit

Thanks. I take no meds, thankfully. I work in Flax seed, yogurt, etc. I just don't feel right, starved, w/o wheat. But, I'm sure it will pass. I'm not out to win a ab contest either, but for all the time and hard work I put in, I shouldn't be having a bloated stomach either. Thanks for the advice. I did print out your clean foods list too btw
