In July of last year I took some photos of myself and decided that it was time for me to get serious about getting in shape. I weighed 330 at close to 50%Bf. My diet lasted maybe a week or two before I went back to eating like I use to just less of it. I ran 3 times a week going from a 18-20 minute mile to now I can run a 10 minute mile for almost 5 miles, my next running goal is a sub 30 minute 5k. I dropped to my lowest point of 230 at 23% but I seem to float around the 230's no matter what I do activity wise. I even added lifting and my weight started skyrocketing again back up to 240 still at 23%. I eat about 1600-1800 cal a day. I am 6 Foot 1 Inch and 22 years old. I recently kicked my Taco bell addiction, and I am taking a break from smoking weed (also gave up acid and shrooms just to be clean all around.) until I reach my goal ,if I ever decide to do it again. I dont take any supplements except a multivitamin and protein on lifting days, I really like isopure quite a bit. I would like to get down to 220 and sub 15% BF and have a little more definition in my chest and shoulders. My physical goal is to be able to do pullups to make rock climbing a lot easier for me, and possibly enroll in kickboxing. If obtaining that would be reasonably possible that is.
I have absolutely no idea of how to do a proper diet or what i should be looking at to eat. I just moved apartments so I am almost completely out of food so I figured now would be the best time to give my diet a total makeover. I have been told my best bet would be to lean out and then build muscle once i have reached a good lean weight. I am not picky on what I eat I just need some ideas or maybe even a shopping list, and if someone would recommend a better fat burning workout besides just running on the treadmill or outside I would be open to suggestions.
