  • Weight Gainers

Just wondering what you bros think about weight gainers. Are they worth the money ? It seems like dpsnutrition.com has some pretty good prices, but I don't want to waste any money on a useless product.

if you get a good quality one, weight gainers are good products. at one time, my diet was 3 food meals and 3 weight gainers a day. i had no choice because of the job i had at the time. and i did gain. they helped me go from 125 to 180 years ago.

now, i'm on the homemade gainer bandwagon. you control what goes in so you can make it exactly how you want.

i believe some have posted their recipies here. you might want to try a search.
Do you know where one builds action, stamina and guts? In the gym under the iron day after day, forever without fail or excuses or grumbling, that’s where. It’s true. I read a study somewhere and that’s what it said, really.

There’d be fewer battles, less drugs and less crime and more happy moms and dads if we all lifted weights… let’s face it. In what recent medical journal was I reading that?

.....the basics need to be lifted high in this age of retarded new wave info. dave draper

Only weight gainer I ever used, is protein powder, skim milk, and Natty PB. Hell throw Flax in there if it floats your boat. Need a few more carbs? Throw in 2 TB of honey.

I have used weight gainers for the last seven years although I don't use the volume I use to. I use a product called Heavyweight gainer 900 in chocalate. It tastes great and it is helped me gain over 100 lbs in the last 7 years. And no I'm not a fat ass I think my bodyfat is about 11-12%. www.nutritionsource.com has it for $25 for a 7lb container. It's a great but bro check it out.

hey skinny, i know what it's like and i have the same problem, i use problend solid gains vanilla, it's about 700 calories or 100 with whole milk, if your like me you'll probably prefer that. there's about 60 grams of protein in there, so it's perfect. i take about 3 shakes/day, i gained 5 lbs in 2 weeks and when on my cycle i ended up at 150. it''s made by md labs and you can get it a the www.vitaminshoppe.com good luck

buy whey powder, use two scoops and that'll be around 44-46 gms protien, drink that, then make a dextrose 60-75 gms in Kool-aid or crystal light and drink that. Its said that the body has problems with protien and carbs at the same time. i drink this post w/o everyday dude. Donno what kind of wieght you want, but, getting fat is easy.

                        weightgainers

Aren't most off the shelf gainers just maltdextern and aminos? Isn't that more of a fatgainer then weightgainer? Seems eatting a ton of eggs or soy beans would be more productive? Correct me if I'm missing something here.

i wouldnt by protein shakes with a lot of carbs in it.
you would be wasting your money.
just eat lots and lots of pasta. it works better.

if you have diabetes (like i do) you can't take any weight gainer

too bad. i gained quiet good at that stuff. (used universal's gainfast 3100)

You nailed it. Gainers like N-Large 2 are horrible, unless you want Type 2 Diabetes. Way too much malto. in them.... make your own.

Milk, flax, crushed oatmeal, natty peanut butter, whey powder... pretty much what Pro said.
