  • How do you eat so much???

    Okay i started my cycle last week and have been trying to eat everything in site (well within reason). I have a protein shake for breakfast, a protein bar for a snack, steak for lunch, another bar for snack, steak or some type of high protein dinner then a prtoein shake post workout. And i mean hell i feel like i am going to explode, the last few days i can't even look at food without getting sick, and the worst part is i have only gained like 2 pounds. I am taking EQ and i thought that would help me eat more but shit i am kinda stuck. just wondering if there is anything else out there that will help add weight without wanting to make me puke....

    opps i should add that i am only averaging 3000 cals and 272 grams of protein a day.

    Throw some flax oil in your shakes and eat a natural PB sandwich for a snack with two big tablespoons of PB. Maybe not as much protein as a protein bar, but it will get your cals up. The flax oil and PB sandwich are about 800 cals right there I think. And if you just started eating much more than you're used to, give it some time. You'll get used to it.

      Although it may seem like lots of food for you, there are only two real food meals in there.....That's nothing. If you try to get in some food, both pr and carbs, at each meal or at least 4 x's per day you should see better results. Also, cotezyme is a prescribed digestive enzyme that is helpful......Maybe you can look into it with a gastro doc.

        You are doing well, its just going to take time training your stomach to accomodate more food. Remember, its a fact that even the pros in their off season eat burgers, fries, & shakes every other meal. I know you are trying to eat clean, but the meal I just mentioned will have about 2,000 or more calories in it. What else are you taking besides EQ? Any test in there? Are you eating any eggs? That is a key food. Most guys eat a dozen egg whites for breakfast with a pot of oatmeal AND the protein drink. I do. Start with 4-6 eggs per day and just increase it gradually.

          How? the old fashioned way.....I love eating. as your metabolism increases, you will process what you eat better and faster. when things are really crankin', I eat, dump, then an hour later I'm hungry again....

            Dump the bars, they are crap. Include calorie dense good fats in meals, or snack, such as all natural Guacamole (mix it w/ Fat Free mayo for a good sandwhich spread) Natty PB (in oatmeal is awesome) Flax oil (in most shakes except postworkout) and Olive Oil (in damn near everything.

              Yeah my cycle is test 400mg/wk, Eq 400mg/wk, Fina 75mg/ed, winny 50mg/ed. Heres my question about the egg whites and a protein shake, i see what some people eat but then in another article i read that the body can only digest like 60grams of protein in a certain time frame. So why take in 100grams in one sitting if my body ain't gonna do anything with it? I will definatly try the Flax Oil, but are the calories as important as the amount of protein? I weigh 175 now at 5'7" and would like to get close to 190 but lean. So what type of calorie ballpark should i try and get in? And is it cool to eat fast food and stuff, or is it better to eat clean?

                You will probably have to decide to do one or the other - either bulk up or cut up. It will drive you crazy to try and accomplish both at one time. Jay Cutler's diet was recently posted, and the guy eats 12 (twelve) meals per day! Do you think he cares whether or not some scientist says that he can't digest 60 grams of protein at each meal? I don't think any of us on this board do! All we know is that it has been tested over decades that tons of food will produce gains in size and bodyweight. If you want to get huge, you have to eat huge. Thats the way it is. Just find foods that you like, especially proteins, and eats lots of them!

                  At your weight, shoot for around 350g of protein a day, so about 50-60 every meal. Fill the rest up with good carbs and fat.
