Hey peeps... I know alot of people will read this and say why the hell is he complaining, but here it goes. I gain weight to easy. I eat a clean diet day in and day out. Eggs for breakfast, protein shake for in between meals and chicken with broccoli for lucnh, a met rx rtd for an after work out drink, and then either a protein shake or bar before bed. But here's the thing, to add weight all i have to do is have a small salad 2 hours after i work out. In a weeks worth of time, i usually gain around 5 - 7 pounds. I only eat like 2000 cals a day and i still gain that annoying fat man... The confusing part is i can have as many as three drinks after i work out, protein shakes, and not gain a pound but yet lose weight...I know my body ok and i think it might be becuz of the carb in take after work outs.. But the thing is, if i dont have atleast 50 - 100 grams of carbs after a work out, i become flat and weak... Can anyone give me some advice on a good diet for the late night cravings... Thanks

2k cals is plenty............for a non active male american. I dont see a reaosn unless you weigh 130 lbs to be eating 2k cals a day.
Try a isocaloric, 33% p, 33% c, 33% f. Works well for me, i am carb sensitive. Late night snacks liek a package of sugar free jello is great.I eat at least 6 times a day to build my body
I pray at least 6 times a day to build my soul

on tues, thurs and sat. i tend to eat a higher amount of carbs either from salads or black beans. Since i have cut down on the carb intake though i have lost already 3% body fat so yeah i am sensitive to carbs too... The only problem is that if i dont eat enough carbs after a work out, i feel all sore and like crap the next day so i am just experimenting right now.... The jello idea sounds good.... i'll try that!
